Like A Blind Person Waiting For A Silent Movie To Begin

This week I read Charles Simic’s Walking the Black Cat and spent a lot of alone time. It has been cold here and the plaster walls like a plaster cast, offer nothing more than safety to the itchy, healing limb tucked inside. The winter sneaks under doors and through window frames and invites itself underneath my covers. It kisses at my skin and my bones, it steals the covers, we share restless nights.

I used to drive past that bus at least twice a month to the Wendy’s. Great photograph.
