Crisps and Squash

So there are a few things I have gotten a kick out of in the last couple days… aside from a slightly different keyboard with buttons like § and € and £ the English are pretty into their potato chips. Crisps come in just about every different flavor (flavour). Here is the short list of tastes:

Cheese and Onion, Steak and Onion, Roast Chicken, Marmite, Scampi, Paprika, Tiger Prawns and Crushed Garlic, Chili Lemongrass, Salt and Vinegar, Spicy Chili, Roast Beef and Mustard, Smokey Bacon, and the surprisingly delicious Prawn Cocktail.

To wash down such novelty flavored chips there is your choice of squash (fruit juice concentrate, bottled and ready to be mixed 1:4 with water) The high juice comes in every syrupy flavor from Apple and Backcurrent to Orange to Summerfruit.

In the realm of sweets, Bassetts offers the hilarious medley of Jelly Babies, Milky Babies, and Party Babies. The product names here are unrivaled- the candy here sounds like things Chelsea may yell out at any given time:
Flumps, Dip Dab Sherbert Lollies, Giant Parma Violets, Maoam, Tangfastics, and Jelly Tots.

Don’t worry though, these candies are not nearly as interesting as the images their names conjure up-

I leave you with the imaginary scene of Party Babies being born in a flashy disco room with loud music, a few drinks, hats and all somewhere in the dark depths of a Wonka-esque factory.
